Event description
Join us to learn about Chinese New Year!

About this event

Celebrate the coming Year of the Tiger with this event at Riverton Library. Learn about the background of the holiday, the Chinese zodiac, and Chinese New Year cultural traditions. Enjoy games and themed arts and crafts including year of the tiger masks and creating your own Chinese lantern. We welcome you to wear red clothes to this session for good luck!

Following this, join us for a Lion Dance Event which will also take place in the library!

This session is suitable for children aged 6 years old and above, as well as their families.

Please book one ticket per family rather than one ticket per person, thank you.

To help us keep you and our community safe:

  • We ask guardians to remain with children under the age of 8 in activity areas for the duration of events.
  • Children under the age of 13 years must be supervised by a guardian at all times while in a City of Canning Library (siblings 16 years + are deemed suitable to supervise).
  • Children who do not meet the required age for specific activities/events may have their ticket cancelled.
  • Eventbrite bookings are essential and all attendees must have a ticket.
  • Physical distancing measures will be in place for all activities.
