Event Information
About this Event
COVID Safe Event: This event is implementing all the safety measures outlined in the Victorian Government's Public Events Framework in light of the coronavirus (COVID-19) pandemic. We will be following physical distancing, hand hygiene and general cleanliness guidelines to keep everyone safe!
Music: The support act is 'Polly and the Bluebottles', a Melbourne-based cover band, who promise to bring the party vibes.
The headline act is 'Steve Waddell's Creole Bells Revival Band featuring Beverley Sheehan'. Think Louis Armstrong and Ella Fitzgerald, and you're heading in the right direction. We can assure you that the music will make you smile and perhaps even sing along!
Venue: Carrical, 18-20 Mason St, Hawthorn. It's an outdoor location, on the property of one of our rooming houses.
In case of bad weather, we will notify you of any venue changes. Keep an eye on your emails!
Cost: The event entry is free. The BBQ and soft drinks are available for a donation. Coffees are available for purchase throughout the night too.
Getting there: Within walking distance of Hawthorn Station, and only 350m from 48 Tram. Limited parking available near Carrical.
Bring: There is limited seating available, so please bring your own picnic chairs or rugs.
Food and drinks: North Balwyn Rotary Club are kindly operating a BBQ, with sausages and vegan sausages on offer, as well as soft drinks.
For all your caffeinated (or non-caffeinated!) beverage needs, the friendly Steeple Coffee crew will have you sorted.
Please note that this is a dry event.
Servants Community Housing: We are a not for profit organisation, passionate about breaking the cycle of disadvantage and social exclusion by providing affordable, safe housing for those on low incomes. Our vision is to provide more than just a roof over someone’s head. We create carefully crafted communities throughout Melbourne, which some of the most vulnerable members of our society will call home.
Come along on the night to hear what some of our residents have to say about living at Servants.
