We are presenting a very special tasting of Jackie O's Brewery beers from Athens, Ohio. This is an open tasting but there are discounted tickets for all WWS members!

Beers For Tasting:

Jackie O's Scrip - 4.5%

Grisette style ale aged in wine barrels

Jackie O's Gose - 5.2%

stainless conditioned, mixed culture – brewed with salt and coriander

Jackie O's Off The beaten Path 1 - 5.5%

Off the Beaten Path 1 was inspired by the classic Saisons that exude balance, grace, and innocence. Fermented with traditional Saison yeast strains in stainless steel and bottled conditioned with our proprietary mixed Saison culture. OTBP 1 dances on the palate with light nuances of pome fruit, peppercorns, herbaceous undertones, and straw.

Jackie O’s Off the Beaten Path 2 - 5.5%

Off the Beaten Path 2 was inspired by the resurgence of heirloom grains being harvested and malted. Riverbend Malt House out of North Carolina did just this with the rye varietal, Wrens Arbuzzi. Fermented in stainless steel and bottled conditioned with our proprietary mixed Saison culture. OTBP 2 showcases a bright tart character paired with notes of peppercorns, herbaceous spiciness, and fresh lemon zest.

Jackie O’s Elle - 5.1%

Elle is a mixed-culture sour saison fermented with a farmhouse ale yeast alongside wild yeasts and bacteria. It develops a round, soft acidity during a 6-month stint aging in oak foudres. Elegant, earthy, funky, and fruity.

Jaciek O’s Pockets of Sunlight - 5.5%

Saison brewed with honey, coriander & lemon verbena. Fermented with a mixed culture of classic saison strains, wild yeast, & bacteria. Post fermentation, the beer was conditioned in stainless steel for 6 weeks with its primary mixed culture. A third & final fermentation completed this beer in the bottle. Pockets of Sunlight is a radiant saison full of crisp energy.

About The Brewery:

In March 2013, after eighteen months of building and planning, Jackie O’s started a new chapter at our production facility at 25 Campbell Street when we began packaging beers into kegs. Two months later we fired up the line and canned Firefly Amber and Chomolungma, and the rest has been history in the making. We partnered with Cavalier distributing in August of 2013, around the same time we started canning Mystic Mama, and were able to start off 2014 with the addition of Hop Ryot cans. In February of 2015, we released Razz Wheat, just in time for Valentine’s Day!

Our production facility provides the Jackie O’s team the room to play and think big- hence our arsenal of barrels! From rum and bourbon, to sherry and tequila barrels, we’ve been skillfully aging specialty beers since 2013. Bourbon barrel beers are packaged into 375 mL bottles, along side their non-barrel aged counterparts.

Jackie O's also serves great food! Nearly all of our ingredients adhere to the 100 mile rule, meaning your food is prepared with only the freshest ingredients found within 100 miles of Athens.
