Listen to the richly toned vocals of Jackie Bornstein accompanied by two of Melbourne’s finest jazz guitarists. Together with the superbly gifted Craig Fermanis, Jackie will perform songs from the cool jazz of the 1950s and bossa of Brazil. Next, enjoy jazz with an added layer of rock crunch when Jackie is joined by the highly original Tim Willis. Tim and Jackie will also throw in a little jazz manouche. JACKIE BORNSTEIN
Having performed venues in Australia and the UK over the past 15 years, Jackie’s box of tunes takes the audience to the cool jazz of the 1950s, jazz manouche of Paris, and Latin American Nueva canción. With a particular talent for storytelling through song, Jackie gets to the heart of a tune and imparts a range of emotions through her use of varied vocal timbres.

CRAIG FERMANIS
Craig has shared the stage with a diverse range of artists including Ricki Lee Jones, James Morrison, Paul Grabowsky, Kate Cebrano, Christine Anu and The Melbourne Symphony. Craig was a finalist in both the Wangaratta National Jazz Awards and the James Morrison Jazz Scholarship. He has studied with Doug De Vries in Melbourne, and with Jim Hall and John Abercrombie in New York.

TIM WILLIS
Currently Melbourne based, Tim studied guitar under Mike Price and George Golla at ANU’s School Of Music. Moving to France in 2005, Tim quickly started playing in Paris’ best known clubs. Tim has toured in Ireland, England, France and Australia. He was awarded the 2012 PBS Young Elder of Jazz commission in recognition of his talent for composition. His pieces reflect a high energy blend of jazz and rock ideas.
