Friends Who Are Going
Event description

Description

I’ve Been Everywhere is a free live music concert for people living in residential aged care, their friends, family members, carers and agency staff. Now in its second year, this show is a special feature of the City of Yarra’s Leaps and Bounds Music Festival and in 2016 was called A Step Back in Time and featured Mikelangelo and Rob Snarski, and an open mic session during which audience members were invited on stage to perform. Using a similar approach to the incredibly successful Rock-A-Bye Baby concert series produced by PBS FM for parents and babies, I’ve Been Everywhere is predicated on the belief that everyone deserves to enjoy contemporary live music. The concert takes place at the Melba Spiegeltent which has a magic all of its own as well as a substantial car park that is very useful for accessibility. This year The Band Who Knew Too Much will take to the stage and we have introduced a theme: Gypsy Carnivale. We hope to fill the house again for an afternoon of lively entertainment and a chance to get out, dress up and socialise.
