About this event

When Australian '90s renegade rock queens, Nitocris, called it a day in 2001 most of these women went on to create other musical projects that have continued to shape the Aussie music scene.

Fast forward 20 years and 3 of these killer bands have teamed up for a run of shows together through NSW.

Boxing With Ghosts - fronted by Morgana & featuring members of Feiks Device, Syntax error & Rubber Necker, are disarmingly, immersive with catchy melodies and cheeky lyrics, underscored by dynamic rhythms and raw guitar. Pop, rock and indie, with inflections of psychedelia.

Raising Ravens - fronted by Jess, are a hard-hitting rock-based project focusing on topics that tend to be swept under the carpet or ignored and touches on subjects relating to worldwide and personally experienced abuses of power and the effects those abuses have on those who are at its mercy. This lineup features members of Smitty & B. Goode & Spurs for Jesus

Cousin Betty - Andi on drums - originally a studio project, Cousin Betty was reincarnated during the Covid lockdowns. Dusting off some old recordings to release their debut EP and recruiting a killer line up featuring members & ex-members of Spurs for Jesus/Raising Ravens, Sand Viper, Madam Fatale, & Death Mattel/Litter. Turning heads in Sydney and beyond, Cousin Betty's "Quirky Garage Grunge'' will hit you like you owe it money.
