The Summit is Lesbians Who Tech's marquee event, bringing together over 1,500 LGBTQ women (and allies) across all areas of technology. The Summit is the only event focused on increasing visibility and tech participation in two historically underrepresented communities: the women’s and queer communities. The third annual summit will be in San Francisco from February 25th until February 29th. It will be highlighting incredible queer women who are the next generation of technical leaders, as well as the people who have paved the way.
Join us at Envato Melbourne on Saturday, February 27th for a livestream of talks direct from San Francisco! Attending The Summit in San Francisco would cost USD$400 just for a ticket, not to mention flights and accommodation. We’re giving you the opportunity to experience the mainstage sessions live for only $5! All profits we raise through ticket sales (eg. minus Eventbrite fees) will be donated to the brilliant VIC charity, Switchboard.
We'll have two sessions on the day, one starting at 9am and another starting at 11am. On the stream you’ll experience exciting talks such as:
How to Overcome Imposter Syndrome // My Experience As An Out Black Female Product Manager at Amazon // Tiffany Dockery, Product Manager, Amazon
The Future of Space Exploration // Joy Dunn, Senior Manager of Dragon Manufacturing Engineering, SpaceX
A Day in the Life of your Personally Identifiable Information, Emily Metcalfe, Security Engineer
CSS vs. My Gender: A Study in Transitions // Jamie Chung, Software Engineer, Dropbox
Plus many more! The sessions that we’ll be tuning in for will be:
9am AEDT/Melbourne // Afternoon Sessions // Mainstage
10:30-11am Take a break and enjoy some food and drinks provided by Envato.
