ISO20400 on Sustainable Procurement - NSW Launching Event
Wed. 31 May 2017, 6:00 pm – 8:30 pm AEST
After 4 years of development involving 52 countries and 11 international organisations such as the UN and OECD, ISO20400, the first international standard on sustainable procurement, will be published in mid April 2017.
Across the globe, ISO20400 is already changing the way organisations integrate social, economic and environmental risks and opportunities in their procurement practices and the management of their supply chains. In Australia, the level of interest for the standard is growing rapidly and leading organisations are aligning the way they do sustainable procurement with ISO20400. Through ISO20400, these organisations:
Get a practical framework for procurement, CSR and other key functions to work together,
Protect their reputation by efficiently managing sustainability risks in their supply chains,
Get ahead of future client and regulatory requirements,
Take a competitive advantage in their industry by seizing opportunities to innovate, and
Demonstrate supply chain engagement to GRI, DJSI or other indices.
Join other like-minded CEOs, Sustainability and Procurement Professionals from the public and private sectors for the official launching of ISO20400 in New South Wales (Victoria's similar event to be confirmed). You will hear all you need to know from those who built the standard and also from those who are already benefiting from using it. Short presentations will be followed by cocktail networking drinks. Don't miss the opportunity to network with sustainable procurement leaders!
