About the Speaker:
Michael Matthew is a former ‘Big 4’ partner responsible for his firm’s Risk Management practice in Sydney. He is also a past President of Sydney ISACA.
Whilst Michael occasionally comes out of ‘retirement’ to do some internal audit and IT work, his career has moved more into the skills coaching and education areas.
He skills coaches for a number of professional services firms and internal audit departments. This includes developing customised courses in areas such as report writing, negotiations, selling, interviewing skills and improving personal / team skills.
His academic work has included lecturing in Auditing, Ethics and Governance, Information Systems, Strategy and Leadership and Risk Management at a number of tertiary institutions and has extended (believe it or not!) to lecturing on Sport in Australia and International Sports Management.
Michael is described as an ‘interesting’ and entertaining speaker, who has won numerous best paper awards.
He ‘lives’ by the creed of his hero: Jesse ‘The Body’ Ventura (ex-WWE wrestler, former Governor of Minnesota and perennial U.S. Presidential aspirant!): “You’ve gotta tell it like it is”.
Looking forward to seeing you,
