Is NSW the best place for solar?

Following the success of the Smart Energy Expo, join the Smart Energy Council's Sydney Chapter for its April event with guest speaker and solar expert Jonathan Prendergast.

With record numbers of solar developments, he will discuss the market in NSW, including current developments, new models, and flexible generation capacity.

Reflections on developments in the smart energy industry.

2. Jonathan Prendergast, independent consultant and the UTS Green Infrastructure Project Manager

Jonathan provides management services in the energy sector to a variety of clients. He uses his deep knowledge of energy, procurement and project investment to unlock innovative business models and develop new projects. This has seen the development of 3 Australian first projects; The Dandenong Precinct Trigeneration project, the UTS-Singleton Solar Farm off-site solar PPA and the Central Park to UTS 15 year District Cooling contract. Current Jonathan is working on severall corporate PPA and solar investment programs. Jonathan has also cofounded and run a community rooftop solar bulk buy for households in his local community in the Sutherland Shire.

3. Future directions: Ruizhi (Richard) Chen, postgraduate student in photovoltaics from UNSW

Each month we hear from someone a university student studying a smart energy related course.

Richard will discuss building renewable system for medical facility in Tanna island, Vanuatu.
