Event description

Description

Rich in natural resources with a large, well-educated and mostly urban population of young consumers, Iran is an exciting re-emerging market for Victoria.

Find out more about Iran and its history, wealth, relevance and influence today. Also, hear about Australia and Victoria’s relationship with Iran, market insights and opportunities to deepen our engagement and links with Iran.

Secretary Richard Bolt led a Victorian Government delegation to Tehran earlier this year to meet with government and business stakeholders to explore trade and investment opportunities with Iran.

Join Richard as he shares his insights and introduces our special guest speakers:

  • Ian Biggs – Australian Ambassador to Iran

  • John Butler – Victorian Commissioner to the Middle East, Iran, Africa and Turkey

  • Gerard Seeber - Senior Trade Commissioner to the Middle East and North Africa, and Consul-General, Dubai, UAE

The session will include a Q&A panel discussion which will include Jay Meek, DEDJTR Deputy Secretary, Trade Victoria and Ashling James, DEDJTR Regional specialist, Middle East, Africa and Oceania.

Questions and curiosity welcome.
