About this Event
Wayne with his many talents will lead a thought-provoking discussion with a Small to Medium Enterprises focus around how Accountants can build strong business relationships with our State and Commonwealth Governments with the support of the Institute of Public Accountants (IPA) and your Divisional Advisory Council (DAC) in each State.
Wayne Debernardi, General Manager, Public Affairs of Institute of Public Accountants
Wayne has held various senior media and communications roles across multiple sectors for more than 20 years. He played a lead communications role in the first privatisation of a major utility in Australia, after which he ran a very successful consulting business for several years before returning to the corporate world in emergency services. The latter included the media spokesperson role for Triple Zero in Victoria during the devastating Black Saturday bushfires.
Wayne was appointed as General Manager, public affairs at the IPA in 2012.
Wayne is recognised as both a corporate communications strategist and a business and creative writer, having applied these skills across a diverse array of businesses. His qualifications include a Diploma of Freelance Journalism and a Master of Arts (Writing).
In 2020, his first novel (fiction), The Letters was published. He is now writing his second novel with more manuscripts to follow.
