Event description

Description

Join us on Tuesday, June 25th to discuss the ground-breaking book “Invisible Women: Exposing Data Bias in a World Designed for Men” by Caroline Criado Perez. This eye-opening book details the huge gender gap that exists in design, medicine and engineering and the direct impact this has on women worldwide.

This event is hosted by the STEMMinist Book Club and is open to anyone interested in gender equity, and discussing the book. The STEMMinist Book Club was founded in 2018 and has rapidly grown to almost 4000 members worldwide. Books are chosen every 2 months, and discussed online (twitter and goodreads) as well as at bookclub meet-ups in cities across the world.

This informal event will run from 6:00pm -7:30pm in The Reading Room at UNSW Bookshop, and the neighbouring Atomic Press café will be open for drinks.
