Would you like to find out more about the opportunities for investment in local community based clean energy? Then come to hear what's already happened and how successful the schemes have been; what the future might hold in the wake of cut backs in government subsidies; and how we can be part of developing further community based energy schemes. Phil Davies, a director of Cumbria Community Energy, will speak from a Cumbrian perspective, whilst John Fleetwood, founder of 3DInvesting, will give a national overview. The event will take place in the convivial atmosphere of the Factory Tap, with a Thai meal being provided by Thai Kitchen. The food will have to be ordered in advance so please reserve a ticket at least 7 days in advance. Tickets cost £12.50 with payment on the door, but as the food has to be ordered in advance, please be prepared to pay if you have reserved a ticket but can't come. Local beers and other drinks will be available from the bar at the Factory Tap. The talk will commence promptly at 7:30 pm but please come for a drink from 7pm onwards. This is a small venue so please book well in advance.
