Introductory Drawing for Designers

These Workshops will be delivered in a short course format and are suitable for applicants interested in learning the foundation knowledge of drawing for designers. These first seven weeks focus around foundation drawing principles and simple rendering techniques. All lessons are prepared for female fashion illustrations.
Please note: An Art Kit must be purchased with a Workshop. All classes are subject to minimum numbers.
Week One | Drawing head and hair silouettes, front view, profile and 3/4 view. Black, white and greay aquarelle on Canson paper, learn techniques of discreet water colour application of aquarelles.
Week Two | Facial features, eyes, lips, eyebrows, ears and nose. Black, white and greay aquarelle on Canson paper, learn techniques of discreet water colour application of aquarelles.
Week Three | Drawing the full head including neck and hair for front and 3/4 view. Black, white and greay aquarelle on Canson paper. Selected coloured pencils for coloured rendering with watercolour application.
Week Four | Focusing on hands and feet in shoes. Rendering in black, white and grey aquarelle pencils on Canson paper. Discreet use of watercolour technique.
Week Five | Drawing the front view standing body fully clothed in high fashion garments. Render in black, white and grey aquarelle coloured pencils with limited watercolour application.
Week Six | Fully rendered fashion figure in full colour using a limited fashionable colour palette. Rendering in aquarelle coloured pencils with full water colour application on Canson paper.
Week Seven | A complex fully rendered fashion figure using multi media, collage and quarelle coloured pencils.
