This hands-on workshop is a concise introduction to how to use the incredibly popular Xero cloud-based accounting system. Bring your laptop and work through the program with our experienced Business Advisors and local Newcastle Accounting firm The Garis Group to learn in a practical and straight forward environment. You will learn all you need to know to begin to use Xero immediately in your own business or workplace.

This workshop is delivered over two hours and will teach you:

  • Chart of Accounts - adding to and editing your COA
  • Contacts - adding and merging contacts
  • Sales invoicing
  • Billing
  • Bank Accounts and Bank Feed Setup
  • Reconciling in Xero
  • Importing Bank Statements to Xero

The introduction and question time for this workshop will be led by industry leader John Garis, Managing Director of the boutique family accountancy firm The Garis Group. Be guided through the workshop by Jordon Greenwood, an upcoming young Bookkeeper with a wealth of hands on experience in Xero and the Xero add-on marketplace.

What you need: a laptop which can access the internet is essential with audio and visual and be currently running an account with Xero.
