Sunday 7 March:
Introduction to Watercolour
Learn the basic first steps of painting with watercolour.
How to apply washes, wet on wet painting, dry wash Techniques and the basic brushes and tools.
At the end of this workshop you will have three different watercolour works which you painted. Experience the joy of creating your own memories with personalised guidance and demonstrations to begin your journey in watercolour painting.
Beginners welcome to all workshops.
All workshops are held in the Griffin Room, in the functions area off the main restaurant.
LUNCH: If you wish to join myself other participants for lunch from 11.30 am each Sunday, there is a table booked for 10 people or more if needed under the name ArtaZen in the taverns Moreton Restaurant. We order and pay for our own lunch and drinks from the menI. (See the lunch menu and the dining area in the photographs below)

ART EQUIPMENT TO BRING:
One 2H pencil
One 2B pencil
Sharpener, Eraser
WATERPROOF FINELINE MARKERS - SIZE 1.0 & 0.5
A4 Sketch pad
A4 WATERCOLOUR PAD or sheets of paper PLEASE ENSURE it is 300 GSM
3 watercolour brushes, No 6, No 10 & a Mop brush medium size
ANY set of watercolours is fine initially. At the very least bring three tubes or pans in the primary colours of blue, red and yellow. A tube of white can also be useful.
You will learn what colours and brands there are to choose from if you don’t know.
NOTE:
All of the above items are available at reasonable prices at your local Officeworks Stores. Alternatives include Arthouse Framers & Art Supplies on Sandgate Rd, Deagon. They have a greater range of top range artist quality supplies at all levels of affordability. So to do the Art Shed in Montague Rd, West End, Exckersleys and Oxlades. The cheapest end of the spectrum of art supplies are at the various Dollars & Cents, Bargain & Discount Stores as well as Riot Art & Craft online. For a very affordable starting point those options are a good temporary measure.
