It’s time to take your branching narrative draft to the next level by building a story prototype in Twine!

What the heck is Twine anyway?

Twine is an open-source tool for telling interactive, nonlinear stories. You don’t need to write any code to create a simple story with Twine as it publishes directly to HTML. This means you can post your work nearly anywhere!

What: Made popular by ‘Choose your own adventure’ books and digital games, a “Choice-Based Narrative is a story that allows for choices to arise at designated junctures within an experience” (Velissaris, 2017, p.16) and are a powerful tool for teaching and learning.

This workshop presents a step by step process of creating a basic HTML5 branching narrative, including story passages, linking and publishing to HTML.
