CartoGIS Training: Introduction to Story Maps

About this event

Learn to use Story Maps, an easy to use story telling tool which allows you to weave a compelling narrative and share it with your audience.

What: Over 4 x 2hr sessions, you will use well-designed templates and easy to implement layouts to develop a Story Map based on your own research. You will explore various templates available with the program, learn to create a quick and simple online map, assemble your story and learn how to promote your Story Map once it is created. This will give you an effective and visually appealing way to communicate your research impact to governments, funding agencies, and the general public.

When: Online lab sessions will run from 10am-12pm on Tuesday on the following dates:

  • 9 March
  • 16 March
  • 30 March
  • 6 April

Participation in all four of these Zoom lab sessions is required for this course.

Training is for ANU staff and HDR students only.
