Description

In this course, you will learn the basic knots and rope skills required to set up a top-rope. You will also learn how to belay, develop climbing skills, learn to place 'natural' gear and also will get to practice basic self-rescue skills. On our last Sunday, we will head out to a great crag on Mt Macedon and climb some awesome volcanic rocks. Its a great opportunity to get outdoors and into beautiful environments, make some new friends, challenge yourself to the extreme and simply have heaps of fun! The dates are Saturday the 21st April, 10am-4pm (Dog Rocks), Saturday the 28th April, 10am-4pm (Dog Rocks), Saturday the 5th May 10am-4pm (Dog Rocks) and the 6th May at Mt Macedon (10am-4pm). At the end of the course, there will be opportunity to extend your adventure and come for a weekend of climbing at Mt Arapiles near Horsham (extra cost). The course will be lead by highly skilled and experienced rock climbing instructors, Tim Preston and Emmanuelle Dubuc. Hope to see you out there! The cost is per/adult and accompagning children come at no extra costs.
