Workshop funded by the Brisbane City Council 'Cultivating Community Gardens' grant.

If you're interested in and passionate about growing your own food, becoming even greener, having a greater positive impact on your home, workplace, school, group, organisation, community and the planet, then this workshop is for you.
If you haven't done any education in permaculture, and you're involved in any community project or group, or just a keen home gardeners, then this presentation is a must.

Mistakenly, many people think permaculture is only about growing food, or just a form of organic gardening. Not true.
Permaculture is a rich, intelligent design system and philosophy for creating sustainable permanent culture in any settings: homes, businesses, schools, communities, towns & cities, countries, gardens & the environment.

In this intro workshop, you will learn about:
- Permaculture origins & history
- Permaculture philosophy, ethics & principles
- Permaculture in homes & communities

ABOUT GREEN DEAN
Green Dean is an educator, consultant, speaker, writer & activist, specialising in Urban Farming, Permaculture and Integrity Food.

While he comes from a rural farming background, he now strongly focuses on urban farming – bringing food growing back into the towns and cities, where it has traditionally always been in sustainable cultures. He adds a strong anthropological focus to his education.

Dean founded and runs several related local, national and international groups and projects, and is a popular presenter at expos, events and workshops. He also supports national and international followers through Facebook groups and his blog.

Dean has been involved in the edible gardening, natural health & community enhancement fields for almost 30 years, with a special focus on gut health and longevity. He is a passionate advocate of the organic, SLOW Food, Transition Towns, and Random Acts of Kindness movements.
