Introduction to Paediatric Specialties
The Introduction of Paediatric Specialties is a comprehensive program that explores the common paediatric conditions and essential principles of care based on the assessment findings. The program is conducted over two consecutive study days, each commencing at 0800 and concluding by 1630. All sessions are presented by nursing and allied health professionals with a commitment to providing current, evidence based information.
Please note: The content of this two day program previously existed as a part of the four day Paediatric Foundation Program.
Please be aware that this is a foundation program and is ideally suited to Registered and Enrolled Nurses with a live APHRA registration new to the field of paediatric nursing, or those wishing to revise their knowledge of paediatric conditions.
Nurses completing the Paediatric Foundation Program will receive 16 Continuing Professional Development (CPD) hours.
- To identify and discuss the key indicators of deterioration for infants, children and adolescents.
Content includes but is not limited to:
- Respiratory System
- Cardiovascular System
- Neurological System
- Mental Health
- Paediatric Oncology
A registration fee of $480 (incl.GST) applies for all bookings. No refunds will be provided for cancellations received within 28 days of the workshop date.
