Event description

Description

The purpose of mindfulness is to magnify well-being. It's the natural quality of awareness we experience when we let go of the endless demands and reactivity of the mind and open up to the present moment.

Many people find that with regular practice, over time, mindfulness can assist them to:

  • experience less stress, anxiety and worry
  • improve sleeping patterns
  • become more self aware
  • have a greater capacity for self acceptance and self love
  • reduce reactivity and increase emotional intelligence
  • develop more empathy and compassion

This introductory workshop is designed for anyone who is interested in getting started with mindfulness practice, or those who need a refresher.

In this workshop we will be exploring both the theory and practice of mindfulness following a schedule of teaching sessions, silent sitting and walking practices, and discussion.

Please bring food for a light lunch and wear comfortable clothing.
