Event description

Description

Jewellery making is a beautiful way to turn salvaged treasures into wearable art.

In this beginner's workshop, we will teach key techniques for making your own jewellery piece:

  • wire skills including turning and creating linkages
  • die cutting
  • transforming everyday recyclables such as salvaged cardboard and papers into a delicate yet durable piece of wearable art
  • combining mixed media to create a cohesive design.

The first half hour will be spent on techniques, then participants will be able to use these new skills to create their own salvaged jewellery necklace with the guidance of our experienced facilitator, Jenn.

Our 2018 workshop program for adults features traditional and innovative projects with a focus on sustainable creativity. Come along and be inspired!

Suitable for beginners, ages 13+

We supply all tools, materials and an experienced facilitator.
