Introduction to iRest® Yoga Nidra

Join Narda Salm at Body n Soul Yoga Studio Rockhampton Queensland to explore and experience deep relaxation through an introduction into ®iRest Yoga Nidra.

Narda Salm of Relaxation Place is a Yoga Teacher and Certified iRest® Yoga Nidra Meditation Teacher. She feels privileged to share these amazing practices to soothe the soul, calm the mind, and relax the body. Narda and her husband travel in their Caravan to remote locations in different states, inland and along coastal Australia, sharing iRest ® Yoga Nidra in the most inspiring settings reaching outback regions. iRest® Yoga Nidra Meditation is an Internationally recognised “evidence based approach” that can be contextualised for local and individual needs.You are invited to learn useful ‘present centred’ practices that you can use on a day-day basis to connect to a place of well-being and personal insight. The session will conclude with a deep state of relaxation.

iRest ® is so accessible to everyone. Learn the 10 step iRest® Yoga Nidra protocols which are now positioned in the forefront of current trauma informed practices. Narda shares stories of her Nomadic Yoga Journey and shares how iRest ® can be integrated with many other model’s which elicit the Relaxation Response including Mindfulness, Attention training techniques, progressive muscle relaxation, breath sensing techniques. Narda is trained in Mindfulness-Based Stress Reduction (MBSR).

Narda Salm is a member of IYTA, Mindfulness & Yoga Nidra Meditation iRest certified® Teacher, MBSR certified Teacher, a qualified Queensland School Teacher, Educational Consultant, and Specialist with over 30 years experience implementing Social Emotional Wellbeing techniques with Adults, Teenagers and Children. My background includes a degree in Psychology, Graduate Diploma in Teaching and a Masters in Business.

The Studio is situated at 13 Murray Street with plenty of parking.

The car park and street are well lit at night.

The studio has heating and air conditioning.

There are shower facilities.

Mats are available to hire for $2 or you can purchase a mat at the studio.

You will receive:-

  • a Printed workbook

  • the Yoga Nidra recorded live during the session will be available for download from relaxationplace.com.au


Please bring:

  • a pen

  • Yoga mat if you have one or you may use one available,

  • anything else you might bring to increase your level of comfort i.e. a scarf/towel for covering the body during yoga nidra, socks

  • a scarf/eye pillow to cover the eyes if you have one. An eye pillow will assist to calm the nervous system

  • cushion or rolled up towel, ideal to place under your knees while lying on your mat
