Introduction to Human Research Ethics (Online - Zoom)

ABOUT THIS SESSION:
Will your research involve human participants?
Do you want to know what a Human Research Ethics Committee (HREC) is?
Do you dread HREC rejection?
If you answered yes to any of the above questions then this session is for you! The session will summarise the Human Research Ethics review process at La Trobe, touch on key ethical concerns such as informed consent and recruitment and will provide a brief overview of the National Statement on Ethical Conduct in Human Research (2007), the main governance document for the conduct of human research.
WHY SHOULD I ATTEND?
Researchers will gain an understanding of the Human Research Ethics review process at La Trobe which should help alleviate any anxiety or concerns they have about submitting their application for HREC review.

Early Career Researchers (ECR's) and Higher degree by Research students (HDR)
