Event description

Description

Computer Science is a part of everyday life, from the cars we drive to the movies we love, the websites we visit, our favourite animation films and TV shows. Your world is shaped by code. And through the power of coding, we will show Young Coders how to "Wayfind" in your own world, and perhaps discover a master coder in you!

Bring your Young Coders along on a magical adventure with Moana and her friends. They will use drag-and-drop visual blocks to write code that is part of a game. Visual programming is a fun and easily understood way to teach the logic of coding, and a great way to get "hooked" on the skills of today and tomorrow.

Through this workshop your Young Coder will:

(i) dive into visual programming that is fun, informative, and teaches core logic skills,

(ii) lays the foundation for text-based programming, a more complex activity,

(iii) learn how to have fun in a creative, intellectually stimulating, meaningful way, that gives her purpose, passion and invaluable skills!

So, join Moana and her coder mates in discovering and navigating the new world of coding and help defeat the Kakamora on our latest journey!

AGES 6 - 8 and first time coders are best suited for this Session.
