Who are Muses?
We run free JavaScript and Node.js workshops for women, non-binary and trans folk around Australia.
If you've ever wanted to learn how to code, now's your chance. Come along to our workshop for complete beginners, where you will learn the basics of the web and start coding in HTML, CSS, and JavaScript in the presence of a supportive group of mentors. It’s a great chance to learn and to grow your network with awesome ladies in the Perth tech space.
This is a fully catered event, all you need is your own laptop, charger, and enthusiasm!

FAQs
Are there ID or minimum age requirements to enter the event?
Due to blue card regulations, this event is 18+ only.
What do I need to bring to the event?
You will need a laptop with access to Wifi. We at Muses Code JS (and the earth :D) will appreciate it very much if you could BYO coffee cup as well <3
Do I need to prepare for the event?
We have tried our best to make the workshop beginner friendly, so there isn't any assumed prior knowledge.
The only thing we request is that you check the email you use for registration for set up information in the week prior to the event.

Do I have to bring my printed ticket to the event?
Yes. Or you can bring a digital copy.
What does the workshop schedule look like?
We kick off at 9:30am and have you heading home at 4pm. In between, you will have a morning tea, lunch, afternoon tea and a number of lightning talks on different technical and non-technical topics.
