Materials needed
As this is an at-home event, you will need to provide your own brush pen and paper to participate.
Maria recommends a model of brush pen, available from Officeworks, which are open for Click and Collect, retail purchase or home delivery.
Alternatively, you can follow the class with any of these materials that you can purchase ahead of time through your local stationery or art supply store:
— Any other small-size brush pens.
— Any pointed flexible fountain pen.
— Copperplate calligraphy kit
If you can’t get the materials listed above, please feel free to use the following: — Rollerball pen, such as Uni-Ball Eye Fine.— Soft pencil (B to 6B)
Please note that if you use materials that aren’t flexible, you won't be able to obtain contrast through thin and thick strokes. Instead, you will obtain a monoline effect.
