Overview

Join us for a fun and informative session on exploring alternative photography processes online!

This six-week creative course introduces participants to alternative and historical photographic techniques, including cyanotype, chemigram, phytogram, lumen, and toning.

Designed for both beginners and experienced photographers, the course offers practical, hands-on guidance for setting up a safe and accessible home workspace, whether in a kitchen, garage, or studio.

Each week includes live demonstrations, guided activities, and group discussions, encouraging experimentation with sun-based and chemical printing methods. Participants will learn to handle materials safely, source supplies affordably, and create beautiful, one-of-a-kind prints.

Grounded in history but focused on contemporary practice, this course invites participants to experiment, play, and develop their own creative voice through light and chemistry.

Share works-in-progress via a private online gallery for feedback and personalised support, using a private Pinterest board.

All participants will need sufficient internet connectivity to take part in the group and individual sessions held online via Zoom.
