Introducing the Australian Wound Innovation Centre

The Wound CRC are delighted to invite you to a very special evening to learn more about an exciting new health service initiative: the Australian Wound Innovation Centre (AWIC). Wound Innovations is the service delivery arm of AWIC and will be opening in early 2017.
This free event is a wonderful opportunity to meet with some of the members of the Wound Innovations team, find out more about the service and how to refer.
Refreshments and an opportunity to connect with colleagues and industry partners will follow the formal presentation.
The Australian Wound Innovation Centre: Transforming Wound Outcomes
Wounds are a silent epidemic and estimated to affect more than 433,000 people in Australia and cost the healthcare system more than $2.85 billion per year. Wound Innovations is a dynamic new initiative dedicated to improving wound outcomes for all Australian’s through expert wound treatments, telehealth, education and translational research.
Key Note Speaker:
Dr Michelle Gibb, Clinical Director and Wound Management Nurse Practitioner, a leading authority on wound management and prevention with over 15 years’ experience in the specialty area. Michelle has been awarded numerous prestigious awards for her contribution to nursing and wound care including a Churchill Fellowship in 2010.
