Event description

Description

Money plays such a big part in our life but why we make the decisions we do about our finances is rarely talked about. Even less discussed is how gender impacts financial wellbeing and financial decision making. This course is perfect for community sector workers , financial counsellors and financial planners – any professional that works with women around money and financial decision making.

Drawing on WIRE’s extensive knowledge and expertise on women’s financial capacity building and financial abuse, this course will help you understand:

  • About women’s relationship with money
  • How gender stereotypes affect women’s financial literacy and financial capability
  • How women’s relationship with money impacts their financial security
  • Why women are more vulnerable to financial abuse than men
  • How to have more effective money conversations with women
