Description

Introduction to positive behaviour support planning for allied health professionals.

NDS invites allied health professionals who currently work, or plan to work with, people with disability and developmental delay to come along to this valuable training opportunity.

This training is relevant for those who have limited or no experience in positive behaviour support (PBS) planning, and would like to learn more.

Dr Kristen Foss, senior Clinical Service Development Consultant/Psychologist will present on the following topics:

  • Philosophy and evidence base for PBS
  • Elements of Behaviour Support Planning
  • NDIS Quality and Safeguarding frameworks and PBS
  • Resources for further learning and development, including assessment tools
  • Interactive sessions - applying knowledge through case studies and sample plans

Date: Wednesday, 9th May 2018

Time: 5:30pm-7:30pm

Venue: Anglicare Office - 6 Strahan Street, Burnie (training room).

Light refreshments will be provided.

Attendees will be invited to join a state-wide community of practice as a follow up to this training session. The community of practice will use an online platform to discuss the application knowledge and skills in the workplace. This will be facilitated by Dr Kristen Foss.
