Event description
Learn the basics of macremé, a technique for making plant holders and other household objects by tying knots.

About this event

Macramé is the art of using knots to turn string or cord into decorative and useful art objects. Macramé can be used to make beautiful artistic pieces, but it is also a very practical art form, which has many uses.

Local artist Annette Boyd will lead this introductory session on macramé.  In this workshop you will learn the basic knots to create your first macramé piece. You can chose to either make a hanging plant pot holder to take home at the end of the workshop

Please kindly note that tickets cannot be transferred to other workshops. You are welcome to pass your ticket on to another person.

Please observe good hygiene and social distancing during this workshop and do not attend if you have been feeling unwell. If you are sick and need to cancel, please contact us for a refund.

Please note that in the event of community transmission of COVID-19 in the ACT region the Canberra Environment Centre reserves the right to either adapt or cancel the event and refund all ticketholders at our discretion.
