Learn traditional leatherworking skills and make your own belt or dog leash in this 3 hour workshop for Sydney Craft Week.

Suitable for everyone including absolute beginners. This casual and fun workshop will guide you through your chosen project from start to finish, leaving you with a unique leather belt or dog leash you've crafted yourself; the perfect gift for that special person in your life (or doggy!!)

What you’ll learn:

- Principals and tools of hand leatherworking
- How to cut, stamp and rivet leather

What you’ll get:

- Vege tanned leather to make your belt or leash
- A buckle set or collar clased & saddlery hardware.
- The use of our leathermaking tools
- A leather belt or leash to take home, that you've made yourself!

What to bring:

- Comfortable clothing, a hair tye and closed shoes
- A favourite old buckle, if you have one you'd like to use (not required)
- A smile!

About the teacher:

Lauren and Luke are a longtime crafting duo whose brand Hewn Handmade was born out of a need and desire to "make it themselves". Everything they produce is hand cut, hand sewn and a one off.
