FAQs

Are there ID or minimum age requirements to enter the event?

Yes, the event is 16+. For legal reasons, those who are under 18 must have a guardian present with them at all times - so your guardian can complete the workshop too!

Can men attend?

MusesJS run workshops for women, trans and non-binary participants nation-wide. Anyone who is an ally to diversity may apply, if capacity is reached, preference will be given to parties listed above.

What do I need to bring/prepare for the event?

You will need a laptop, a good nights rest and a water bottle - as well as a charger and password for the computer. The event is for beginners, so no prior knowledge or applications are required. We may contact you with additional requirements in the week leading up to the event. Please contact us if you are unable to use or borrow a laptop.

What does the workshop schedule look like?

The day will begin at 9:45am with registrations and will conclude at 4:00pm. It is a self-paced workshop with assistance as required from mentors, insight from industry professionals throughout the day and lunch will be provided. For additional information, see the agenda in the event description.

What are my transport/parking options for getting to and from the event?

As the workshop is in Melbourne CBD we recommend using public transport options for the entire, or last leg, of your journey to the event. Paid car parks can be found in the surrounds if required.

I have accessibility requirements, how do I let organisers know?

If you have specific accessibility requirements in the physical space, or for audio and visual elements of the workshop, please get in contact with our event organisers. We will work with you to determine how we can ensure your needs are met.
