This event in the Grand Amphitheatre of La Sorbonne in Paris represents the official opening of the International Year of Sound 2020 (IYS 2020) - an initiative of the International Commission for Acoustics in collaboration with La Semaine du Son. The opening will comprise short presentations from a range of speakers addressing the importance of sound in our world and highlighting the activities of the IYS 2020 as well as a musical interlude plus a concert from Compagnie VocAliques.
