Event description

Description

Our International Women’s Day Dinner is an opportunity for everyone to celebrate the social, economic, cultural and political achievements of women.

This event includes a sit down two course dinner and a presentation from our key note speaker, Nova Peris who promises to be an engaging and intriguing speaker, truly representative of an inclusive future.

Nova Peris OAM was Australia’s first indigenous woman elected to Federal Parliament and the first Aboriginal Australian and Northern Territorian to win an Olympic gold medal. She is one of a very few athletes who have represented their country in two different sports; hockey and athletics, at Olympic and Commonwealth Games.

Our MC for the evening is Jo Pearson. Jo is one of Australia's leading media identities. She has worked as a senior prime time television newsreader, journalist, producer and reporter for nearly twenty years in Melbourne, Sydney, Brisbane, Perth and the United States.

Fundraising on the night will be conducted by the Food for Thought Network which promotes awareness about the barriers and enablers to women's development. The Network supports women where adversity may stand in the way of achieving their potential.
