Event Information
About this event
Bold, bionic and blessed. Stephenie Rodriguez speaks about resilience, mindset, and the importance of self-love as part of her formidable journey.
This year’s theme is #BreakTheBias with the incredible powerhouse, Stephenie Rodriguez.
Hosted by Julie Ockerby, President of Creative Women’s Circle, join us with your friends, family and work colleagues and listen to her story of resilience, second chances and her bionic superpowers. It is not to be missed.
Stephenie Rodriguez is on a mission to impact a billion lives by 2025 and democratise safety by empowering women. Founder and CEO of start-up JOZU FOR WOMEN INC and Creative designer of the WanderSafe app. Stephanie is also the inventor of the international award-winning Shakti and Beacon non-violent personal safety systems.
More than just a social impact entrepreneur, Stephenie is world-renowned as #themalariamiracle as she survived Cerebral Malaria and severe septic shock after a humanitarian trip to India and Africa in September 2019 that left her hospitalised for more than a year on two continents.
Since February 2020, Stephenie has undergone more than 36 operations due to complications from medications during a two-week malaria/sepsis coma that left her feet and hands severely and permanently damaged.
On March 31, 2021, she became Australia’s first Bilateral Osseo integrated female amputee and documented her recovery and resilience to an engaged audience of more than 2 million people across social media channels.
Her book recounting her journey back from the jaws of death and amputations titled ‘Thank You Mrs Carter’, a thank you to Beyonce Knowles-Carter for inspiration, is scheduled to be released in 2022.
Her subject matter expertise on resilience, the power of mindset, surviving trauma, and the importance of personal safety and global risk is second to none.
Not only will you get the opportunity to learn from Stephenie’s incredible story, but you will also get to sit down to a three-course lunch with other like-minded women to celebrate the connectedness and nourishment of International Women’s Day.
