About this Event

Mitchell Shire Council invites you to join us for an International Women's Day Breakfast at The Grove Restaurant, Hidden Valley with guest speaker Tiffany Cherry.

Tiffany Cherry is an award-winning broadcaster with an undying love for all things sport. She has covered a variety of sports in Australia and around the world, including the Summer & Winter Olympic Games, NFL Super Bowl, NBA finals, Wimbledon and US Open tennis, the PGA tour, and the Volvo Around the World Yacht Race. A popular media personality, in Australia. Tiffany Cherry has been a Foxtel Olympic Host, Channel 9,7 and SKY News Sports Presenter and one of the original Fox Footy Presenters. Internationally, Tiffany has been a presenter and journalist for ESPN, CNN and London FM station, Absolute Radio.

Tiffany is the first female AFL boundary rider, was the first woman to produce and host an all female sports radio show in Australia and has won a number of awards and scholorships, both sporting and journalism, including Most Outstanding AFL Documentary, ASTRA Most Outstanding Sports Coverage and Most Outstanding Innovation in Programming (part of commentary team). Tiffany was also nominated for an ASTRA Favourite Female TV personality and was part of Foxtel's London Olympic broadcast team which won a 2013 Logie.

Tiffany's interest in sport extends beyond that of most journalists, as she represented Australia at the World Triathlon Championships in Montreal, Canada 1999; was ranked in the top eight in Australia over consecutive years as a 400 metre hurdler; was an AFL physiotherapist for Richmond; operated her own physiotherapy practice; and worked with a variety of state and national sporting teams.

Do I have to bring my printed ticket to the event?

You will need to bring your ticket either printed or as an e-ticket.

How do the seating arrangements work?

Seating arrangements are first in, best dressed on the day. If you are in a group of 8, please e-mail us along with the names of the attendees at: community.development@mitchellshire.vic.gov.au and we can organise for a reserved table for your group. Tickets for the group will still need to be purchased through Eventbrite.
