Tue. 7 March 2017, 9:00 am – 10:30 am AEDT
We are delighted to announce an exciting line up of speakers for our 2017 International Women's Day event.
This theme of the event is 'Achieving gender equity through women in leadership', and the speakers each bring a unique perspective on this topic.
Come along to hear from:
Dr Susan Albert AC
Businesswomen, philanthropist, (retired) Vice President of the Western Bulldogs Football Club, and an outstanding supporter of women's football.
Tireless advocate for women in the community, a spokesperson for Islamic feminism in Australia and a long-time Melbourne icon. Hana opened her first restaurant in 1998, the popular Moroccan Soup Bar in North Fitzroy.
Jill Co-created and established the innovative Law and Advocacy Centre for Women. Jill was previously the Principal Legal Officer at the Victorian Aboriginal Legal Service.
Dr Victor Sojo
Research Fellow at the University of Melbourne’s Centre for Workplace Leadership, and formerly Lead Researcher in the Centre for Ethical Leadership’s Gender Equality Program.
The event will also feature plenty of time to chat with colleagues and peers over breakfast (and plenty of tea and coffee).
**NOTE CHANGE OF VENUE!**
An earlier 'save the date' email stated the venue as Footscray Community Arts Centre. We have had to relocate the event due to an unexpectedly high number of RSVPs.
