Event description

Description

“You can’t pour from an empty cup. Make sure you are filling your cup first so you have something to pour into others”

In celebration of you and the contribution you make to the world, The Functional Nurse and Everyday Ajenda brings you The International Nurses Day Event 2019.

You’re invited to join our panel of health practitioners for an afternoon of information, tips and advice to help support a healthy life and career.

Shift work and the occupational demands of nursing can leave you feeling exhausted, depleted and struggling to invest in your own health…. especially, when you spend so much time investing in the health of others.

Prior to the event you’ll have the opportunity to submit questions or flag any particular challenges you have in navigating health in your day-to-day life and career. This information will be collated and presented to the panel for their feedback and discussion.

WHO //

The panel will consist of 4 speakers:

Madilyn Wolens – The Functional Nurse

Madilyn is a Registered Nurse specialising in Cosmetic Medicine. Madilyn has had 10 years experience in the skin industry and now works as a Cosmetic Nurse and as an Orthopaedic Nurse on a ward. Her passion involves treating the body, both topically and internally with a holistic approach

Jen Harwin – Everyday Ajenda

Jen is the Founder of Everyday Ajenda, specialising as a Health Mentor and Health Broker. After 10+ years of injury / illness rehabilitation case management Jen is passionate about supporting others to be proactive in living healthier lives through both routine and behaviour modification.

Amy Goldstrom – Peak Sports & Spine

Not only is Amy a Physiotherapist and Clinical Pilates instructor at Peak Sports & Spine. Amy is also a Functional Medicine Practitioner who uses a holistic approach by incorporating nutrition and environmental medicine to address the causes of women’s symptoms and conditions.

Sabra Mattan – Fortitude Health & Wellness

Sabra is a Nutritionist and International Pilates Instructor who focuses on integrative medicine (taking into account the whole person and their lifestyle) combining nutritional medicine and the total body conditioning fitness practice of Pilates to achieve a healthy body and mind.

HOW //

After registering and purchasing your ticket to attend you’ll receive an email with a link.

The link will take you to an online questions portal to submit your questions or request a specific challenge for discussion.

The questions will be collated into categories and presented (again, anonymously) to our speakers in a guided interview format at the event on the 5th May.

WHAT TO EXPECT //

Enjoy an afternoon of connecting with likeminded women in a comfortable, relaxed and supportive space while discovering information on how to live a healthier life. Refreshing drinks & light food will be provided. Please advise when registering of any dietary requirements.
