About this Event
International Day of People with Disability (IDPwD) is a United Nations observed day celebrated internationally. It aims to increase public awareness, understanding and acceptance of people with disability and celebrate their achievements and contributions.
The City of Canning will be holding an “Art Workshop” at the Riverton Library in celebration of IDPwD 2020. This is a free 2 hr art workshop suitable for all levels.
The City of Canning is excited to be hosting this workshop with established and award winning painter, Tanya Montgomery.
Learn to illustrate using our own handmade papers while discovering some clever ways to create a dazzling design and gain skills for selecting and combining materials that work.
Please bring an image (black and white or colour) to inform the topic of your production. This could be a picture of a pet, a hobby, your favourite food or a selfie!
Open to all this is a fun workshop suitable for all levels and ages.
Nervous? No need! Tanya will guide you to make an awesome colourful artwork to take home in 2 hours.
