Event Details

In these workshops you will immerse yourself in the Internal Family Systems Therapy (IFS) model of psychotherapy.

US-based certified IFS therapist Bonnie Weiss MA LCSW will offer an Introductory, and an Deepening Practice (3 days from 24-26th Feb) workshop. These are suitable for professionals (therapists, psychologists, counsellors, certified coaches and social workers) as well as those interested in self-development.

The Deepening Practice Workshop will be open to those who have completed the Intro workshop, have taken Bonnie’s on-line course, or are familiar with the Internal Family Systems model of psychotherapy. The focus is going deeper into the IFS skills and techniques, and enhancing personal capacity.

The Introductory Workshop (3 days on 17-19th Feb) will teach the basics of the IFS approach from the ground up, and is a pre-requisite for attending the Deepening event. Meeting this pre-requisite could also be done by attending Bonnie's Online Intro to IFS course, or having completed other IFS trainings.

Click here for booking tickets for the Introductory Practice workshop on 17-19th February 2017 in Melbourne here. Note this will also run in Sydney one week earlier.

Bonnie Weiss M.A., LCSW, US-based psychotherapist, teacher, supervisor, and certified IFS therapist

This three day Deepening workshop is an opportunity for presentations, live demonstrations, experiential learning by doing, and provides a safe space to develop greater facility with the powerful attitudes and techniques that make IFS so effective. The sessions here provide deeper learning and an opportunity to work in small groups with maximum in-the-seat learning in a supportive atmosphere.

See the online flyer HERE for more general information on both Introductory and Deepening workshops, including the Sydney events.

Testimonials from attendees of Bonnie and Simon's 2016 IFS workshops in Australia:

A joy and a surprise to find such an experience of warmth and connection alongside intense learning and skills acquisition.

Extraordinary- met me exactly where I needed in terms of the edge of my knowledge, and then expanded my understanding.

A fantastic integration of theory, demonstrations and practice. Bonnie is a joy to watch as she grapples with practice dilemmas.

I have not ever attended such a training before that just sits comfortably with a respectfulness to work with clients and has also enabled me to consider my 'Self' and its importance professionally and personally.

The introductory workshop was great. Bonnie has such a warm presence and it was wonderful to learn from her and watch her in action

Well structured and a great synthesis of working with parts and establishing Self in a psychological and spiritual sense.

The workshop was both informative and consolidating of the IFS theory. The theory that provides a model for workig non judgementaly with all parts of the person while at the same time encouraging Self development and leadership.

Fantastic experience, particularly the live demos which added great authenticity to the process.

Very hands on learning in an extremely safe supportive, well-organised environment. There was an assumption of clinical skills and knowledge that allowed the group to go to applications in practice straight away with reading links to fill any gaps

Unpretentious openings each day, yet organised, good warm up exercises to get us in touch wiht your parts, good paired shares, excellent fishbowls/demos, good Q & A sessions where all parts were welcome. Well done!

The workshop was both informative and consolidating of the IFS theory. The theory that provides a model for workig non judgementaly with all parts of the person while at the same time encouraging Self development and leadership.

Enlightening! A gentle approach which will resonate with most clients.

I now have language, process and meaning for working with parts of self and big S self very excited

Loved watching Bonnie do the work and then unpack it

Fantastic and full of great people. Actually very energizing instead of draining which can often happen even in interesting workshops

Participation is for therapists and counsellors, mental health clinicians, certified coaches, or students in accredited graduate training programs.
