Event Details

With the increasing risk of spread of the COVID-19, the health and safety of our community members is our number one priority. As such, we wish to underline we will refund all fees where the training needs to be cancelled in line with Departmental health recommendations, or to offer a transfer (no fee) where postponed.

In these workshops you will further immerse yourself in the Internal Family Systems Therapy (IFS) model of psychotherapy. Simon d'Orsogna MA will offer an Enriching IFS workshop (Monday 3rd August and Tuesday 4th of August 2020 - 9am-430pm each day) ahead of further intermediate workshops and IFSI official level certification trainings in 2020/21.

The Enriching Practice Workshop will be open to those who have completed the Introductory workshop, have taken IFSI's Circle online course, or are already somewhat familiar with the Internal Family Systems model of psychotherapy. The focus is going deeper into the IFS skills and techniques, and enhancing personal capacity (Self-energy).

The Introductory Workshop (2 days on 1st and 2nd August) will teach the basics of the IFS approach from the ground up, and is a pre-requisite for attending the Enriching workshop. Meeting this pre-requisite could also be done by having completed other IFS trainings eg the online Circle.

If you would like to register for both the Inroduction Workshop, and the Enriching Workshop (recommended) please see link below for the Introductory Workshop page. On this page you can register for BOTH workshops together, which will include a discount.

Participants in the Enriching Workshops will extend core skills of the IFS approach including working with polarizations, difficult protectors, and the therapists parts. Suitable to professionals (therapists, psychologists, counsellors, certified coaches, expressive and therapeutic arts practitioners, and social workers) as well as those seriously interested in their self-development.

The Certification Trainings for Level 1 will be a natural next step to those who have completed the Introductory workshop, or are familiar with the Internal Family Systems model of psychotherapy. The focus is going deeper into the IFS skills and techniques, and enhancing personal capacity.

This two day workshop is an opportunity for presentations, live or video demonstrations, experiential learning by doing, and provides a safe space to develop a comfortable facility with the powerful attitudes and techniques that make IFS so effective. The sessions here provide deeper learning and an opportunity to work in small groups with maximum in-the-seat learning in a supportive atmosphere. A number of experienced assistants will coach and support triads in live learning sessions each day.

See the online flyer HERE for more general information on both Introductory workshops and Certification trainings, including peer practice events.

Testimonials from attendees of Simon's  IFS workshops

"Great learning, profound and well-organized. Very competently presented and well structured.

... a great introduction, but as well good for the well prepared.

Very interesting and more emotionally charged than many trainings.

It clarified my own confusion / incongruence about how to apply various theories to a more holistic approach.

Enlightening! Great to have the support of others to implement theory into practice.

Gentle and beautifully paced. A great balance of didactic and practical work. The latter a bit intimidating but well worth the risk. Joyful and funny at times. I loved it.

Fantastic and full of great people. Actually very energizing instead of draining which can often happen even in interesting workshops”

Who is this for?

Participation is for therapists and counsellors, mental health clinicians, certified coaches, or students in accredited graduate training programs. Practitioners working experientially and wholistically will find this approach broadens and makes more acute their existing work through using the steps of the IFS 'parts' model.

Workshop size

The size of this intensive workshop is limited to 21. Early registration is encouraged. Previous workshops have sold out in the earlier venues.

These weekend intensive workshops will promote beginner and intermediate-level skill building through active participatory learning. Come along prepared to learn by doing.
