Description

In this 3 day course, you’ll learn the basics of introductory hardware hacking and interfacing with the IoT devices to gain console access and firmware dumps. You’ll learn practical skills, tool usage, and also learn some underlying theory.

Specifically, you’ll learn:

  1. Basic electronics theory.
  2. How to solder.
  3. Interfacing with UART.
  4. Desoldering and chip-off techniques.
  5. Non-destructive firmware dumping using SPI and I2C.
  6. Reverse engineering unknown interfaces using logic analysers.
  7. Programming the NodeMCU to interface with SPI and I2C.
  8. Simple Arduino circuits and programming, with applications in security.

Format: Lectures and Labs
Time: 9am – 5pm.
Catering provided.

Courses have no more than 8 people.

A minimum of 4 registrations are required for course to run. If less than 4 registrations are received, InfoSect will be in contact about refunding or rescheduling the course.
