Integration In Action Workshop - Melbourne
Wed. 26 April 2017, 9:00 am – 3:00 pm AEST
In our previous Integration In Action Workshop V1.0, we explored application integration in the cloud era, and discussed and demonstrated new approaches to address integration challenges for SaaS to SaaS, SaaS to On-premise and On-Premise to On-Premise. We also had a lot of fun using chatbots, drones and robots to prove our points.
As we know the world we work in is rapidly changing. The business landscape is extremely competitive, and more than ever organisations must change quickly in order to bring products and services to market.
Digital disruption is happening and many companies are trying to respond at a pace that matches their competition. This demand for business agility challenges our IT environments, and the traditional approaches we have taken to address development and integration challenges. IT is often torn between the resource / costs associated with keeping the lights on, and also supporting business innovation against a backdrop of IT budgets being under pressure. Increasingly the adoption of SaaS applications by various Lines of Business within an organisation increases the integration challenges that the IT department is being encumbered with.
In the Integration in Action Workshop V2.0, we will explore options to address a number of integration challenges affecting the modern business. We will highlight the importance of APIs and how the Oracle API Platform provides a rich set of capabilities to address modern API development and governance. We will further demonstrate modern hybrid integration patterns to address real world integration requirements, which allowing IT departments to solve integration challenges in the way most appropriate to the business context. We will again have some fun using a new set of cutting edge technologies to enable the API’s, and explore the use of AI in the context of chatbots, and robots.
The Integration in Action one day workshop will show / explore what is possible with Oracle's Integration Solutions including:
API Development, security and governance
Containerisation and MicroServices
