This course provides an understanding of the audit process based around the requirements of the Quality, Environmental & Safety Management System and the ISO 19011 Audit Guidelines.
This course aims to provide you with the opportunity to learn about the subject of internal auditing of integrated management systems, specifically those based on the ISO 9000, ISO 14001 and OHSAS 18001/ AS/NZS 4801 family of international standards.
Aim Of The Course
To train potential Internal Auditors in the principles and practices of IMS auditing in a manner compatible with ISO 9000, ISO 14001 and OHSAS 18001/ AS/NZS 4801 or equivalent standards in accordance with the guidance provided in ISO 19011.
Delegates will be made aware of current good audit practice and will be encouraged to develop their audit skills through analysis and constructive self-criticism.
On completion, delegates should have gained the knowledge and skills required to prepare for and conduct internal integrated system audits.
At the end of the course delegates will:
- Understand the application of Quality, Safety & Environmental Management Systems
- Be aware of the key concepts associated with the 8 quality principles
- Be aware of the key concepts associated with environmental aspects & safety risks
- Be aware of the importance of legislation
- Realise the true role and potential of internal IMS audits
- Be conversant with the responsibilities of internal auditors
- Have the ability to plan and organise an internal audit
- Be able to collect and analyse evidence, exercising objectivity
- Know how to evaluate and report the results of an internal audit

What should I bring to the course?
Please bring notetaking materials (notepad, paper or digital devices). Course manual, pen, carry bags and any other necessary materials will be provided.

Can I transfer my seat to a colleague?
Your registration can be transferred to another person up to 7 days prior to the course date.
Do I have to bring my printed registration confirmation to the training course?
Yes, please bring your printed confirmation to the course as proof of registration.
What is the refund policy?
Cancellations must be given in writing. In the event that cancellation is received 2 weeks or less prior to the course, 50% of the course fee will be levied. For ‘No-shows’ on the course, the full course fee will be levied.
For any cancellation within 24 hours, DNV GL will be unable to offer any refunds.
Terms and condition
Delegates cannot bring any claim or legal action against DNV GL relating to participation in the course or from knowledge obtained during the course. The use of the information or documentation obtained during the course shall be at the user’s sole risk.
DNV GL reserves the right to cancel courses due to insufficient enrolment or conditions beyond our control. Notifications of any cancellation will be made as early as practical.
DNV GL shall not take any responsibility for travel or accommodation costs.
