Buying Consciously Helps Save Lives
Angels of Impact aims to fulfil the 3 UN Sustainable Development Goals #1 No poverty, #5 Gender Equality and #12 Responsible Production and Consumption, by funding and marketing responsibly made products made by women living in poverty. Through these efforts many of the women living in poverty, are saved from lives being victims to human traficking and having their families torn apart. Lurata Lyon will speak about how her life was impacted by having been traficked to give you a perspective of the importance of our work in potentially saving many lives.
5-6.30pm Christmas Fair where you can buy consciously produced good like chocolates, scards, etc made by social enterprises helping alleviate poverty in Asia. Featured social enterprises include Batik Boutique, Toraja Melo, Krakakoa, Javara, Siam organics and patient care. Light dinner will be served.
6.30- 7.30pm -Inspiring talk by Lurata Lyon, author of "The Devil couldn't break me", rescued from sex trafficking during war time in Kosovo and update by Angels of Impact on conscious consumption.
