Event description
Inspire in 5 - Presented by The Innovators' Tea Party: Career stories from WA's women in STEM professionals

About this Event

Have you ever wondered what it’s like to be a scientist?

Do you want to see where new technology and innovation will take us in the future?

Have you ever asked yourself how anything you learn in maths is actually useful?

Learn about careers in Science, Technology, Engineering and Maths from the experts!

Join us on the evening of Monday 15th February for a free series of presentations from 6 of WA's women in STEM champions to learn about the endless opportunities a career in STEM can offer. You will hear first hand what it’s like to work at the frontlines of innovation.

This event is for high school students in years 7-9, their parents/guardians and teachers. Each of our Women in STEM Mentors will give a short 5-minute presentation about their studies, career journey, and day-to-day work life, followed by an opportunity for students to ask questions in a facilitated panel discussion.

See a list of fields covered by checking out our website:

Target audience & year level restrictions:

This event is open to all students in years 7-9 and their families and teachers. To ensure this incredible opportunity is made available to as many WA students as possible, each booking is capped at a maximum of 4 tickets and must include at least one student in years 7-9. All students must be accompanied by an adult.

Bookings which do not adhere to the conditions above will be cancelled - thank you for your understanding.

We intend on holding a number of Inspire in 5 events across Perth in 2021. Check our website for more details.
